AirBorne Upper Hunter Scenic Flights

Come and experience the thrill of flying a Microlight while enjoying the scenery of the beautiful Hunter Valley, located near Newcastle, NSW Australia. You'll learn how these aircraft work, fly and even get to take the controls yourself and experience open weight shift flight with the close guidance of your instructor.

We have a number of flights to choose from;

Hunter Valley Flight

$200 per person

Departing from Maitland Aerodrome, New England Highway, Rutherford, this flight encompasses the Pokolbin wine country including the acclaimed Hunter Valley Gardens.

The whole Hunter Valley experience will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete including pre flight briefing, taxing, take off, flying and landing.

Newcastle Coastline Flight

$300 per person

Departing from Maitland Aerodrome, New England Highway, Rutherford, this flight takes in the brilliant Newcastle Coastline, all the way from Nobby’s Lighthouse to the Swansea Channel and then back over our prestigious Lake Macquarie, Mount Sugarloaf then returning to Rutherford.

The whole experience takes approximately 2 hours to complete, including pre flight and post flight briefing, taxing, take off, flying and landing.

We offer customised flights, with a landing and coffee break or lunch stop at another airfield. For example, we can fly the mountain ranges of Glouster, then head east across to Taree and to the coast to a little airstrip at Old Bar and have breakfast, brunch or lunch. Then as long as we can get clearance we can head back down the coast south to Newcastle then back to our home base.( Weather permitted)
